As we've only recently gotten a handle on some semblance of a schedule-I've only now uploaded the videos from our camera-here's a clip from Emily's arrival just one month ago!

Spring has sprung!
Emmy had her two week checkup today and has weighed in at 10lbs! (That's almost one pound a week since birth-woot!) She's also grown to 22in (about 2 inches taller than a month ago!) She's eating like a champ though still spitting up regularly (glad we got those high efficiency washer/dryers!). Turns out she does not like to be swaddled (as her brother did) and she already takes a pacifier (which he didn't). So different!

For the past few weeks, Gubby has been going on his first official 'play dates' to a friend's house named Joel. Here's a picture of Joel and his mommy, Milly.

Gubby had the chance to finally go swimming again! Spring has topped 90 degrees here and the pool is barely warm enough to tolerate (but the boys love it!) Emily just slept throughout the swim time.

Easter was very nice! We had Aunt Ruthie and some friends over (we love you, Jeni and Whitney!) and had a real southern lunch and egg hunt! We feasted on ham, baked zucchini, zipper peas, and brownies!

Thanks, Mere and Pawpaw for my new lawnmower and my outfit!

Baby Emmy and Company
It's been two weeks and although little housework has been done and Gubby is often trying my nerves (even though he really is a great kiddo) - oh, and did I mention I have a cold? - but Emmy is doing great! Born at 7lbs. 11oz, discharged at 7lbs. 4oz, she's up to 8lbs. 9oz as of her second week weigh in. She goes back in to see her doctor in two weeks and is doing fine!
Gubby is adapting well, he poked her a lot when she first came home but he's working to say "baby" and often kisses her head and feet with a "muah!"
We have her delivery video to post still but here are some pictures of our littles!

Emily Elizabeth
Our baby girl was born on Friday, March 25 at 8:27pm weighing 7lbs., 11oz. (7 oz heavier than her brother!) and 20.2 inches long (also an inch longer than Gubby at birth). We were induced (from ground zero, i.e. no natural contractions) at roughly 9am and received the epidural around 3:30pm. I had my water broken at 4:00pm and waited for her arrival for several more hours.
Our first two nights were good-we had to wake her up to feed her every three hours (whereas Gubby hollered most of the time) but she's doing well. We are home now and will begin our first week as a family of four (well, five really as Mom is here) tomorrow with Gubby's 15mo. checkup with Dr. Elzie at 10am. Emily will likely be able to have her weight checked and assure her jaundice level hasn't increased then as well.
Love you all very much and thank you for your continued support!

Quick Update
Ok-so time is flying by (unless you're 39 weeks pregnant with a toddler in tow)-ha! but I wanted to update everyone with a few tidbits:
One: Gubby successfully attended his first 'day' in a 'childcare' setting...well, really, he spent about 45 minutes in a parish nursery with other kiddos while Mike and I were in Mass-since we dropped him off early (to get a feel for the place), he'd likely had made it through the whole service if we'd left him a bit later...we got a phone call right around Communion that he had his little meltdown. The lady in charge was reading to him at a little table when Mike arrived-his face reddened from hollering, no doubt. Mike came in and lay on the floor where Gubbo then lay atop him for a minute or so (a LONG time in toddlerhood) thanking God his Dad came back...or so we think :) We had donuts a few minutes later so all was well.
Two: Today is March 17 (Happy Birthday, Lindsay!) and we are planning our induction for next Friday, March 25 (3 days prior to our 'due date') assuming Emily does not show up earlier.
Three: I can barely breathe anymore as I'm sure Emily is kicking my lungs every time she moves...she may be easier to take care of now but I am certain I'll be more comfortable next weekend!
