Attack Dance Crew
Ok-so 1. I'm not big on TV especially since we have only 5 channels :)....2. not one to typically embed other people's videos into my blog...BUT
This is a clip from America's Got Talent this week is from a local dance troupe here in Tallahassee from FAMU-Attack Dance Crew...my brother was a fantastic dancer and this reminds me SO much of him :)

Something new...
The pictures chronicle one day with tons of new things
First, Lily's cage was empty and you know what that means-baby jail!!
Second-I've been knitting up a bunch of these little hats called "noggins" and this one I did out of sock yarn and the striped pattern was just beautiful-Gubby is modeling...er...sortof...in this picture.
Third-Gubby's sandbox (this is, of course, pre-Mike sandbox-pictures of that will come soon!)

Busy, busy!
These past few weeks have been a whirl! Here's a brief recap:
We lost our dear Lily two weeks ago after she surpassed an incredible feat for any ferret-seven wonderful years with us and at least another year before that with my sister, Dona-that's EIGHT years (at minimum)...she was ancient in ferret years...but well loved :)
Gubby has been trying his darndest to say lots of new words-baby and juice as well as shoes and cars have become standards and new additions include 'kopf' ('head' in German), mouth, daddy, and today-pawpaw. We're so proud! Not only that, it's becoming easier to understand what he wants which helps everybody!
Also noteworthy is his progress in poddy training. Though hit or miss, Gubby has been averaging at least one pee-pee per day in the poddy-he even had one day where he went four times! Granted-there's not much we can do about the fact every day is still so different with Emily but we try to get him on as much as possible; I'm hoping that he can be in pull-ups for Christa's wedding in September.
One last note-we've begun our transition to cloth diapers-Emily is wearing them all day and only using disposables at night (until we run out-let's be reasonable-they are easier to fasten in the middle of the night). Gubby has yet to start as we don't have enough inserts yet...we should be getting more in the next few days and a few more covers, too. Either way, it's going well and they easy to use and surprising easy to launder (even though we have to wash 'em twice, hot and cold, and then rinse 'em twice per load...)
I will be heading to Port Orange with the kiddos from August 17th through September 12th. Mike will join us for the first and last legs (a few days at a time) and I will be at Christa's bachelorette party August 20. So excited!
We love and miss you all very much and here's a few pics to keep you happy!
