Here are some much needed video updates of the Gubby in action!
So-Gubby's Halloween costume will probably not fit in October so we took a short video just so he could try it on!
Mike is mowing the lawn here and Gubby is just enjoying the sunshine (with his new shades from Aunt Dona!)
Gubby's first time rolling over was earlier today but here is one we got on tape-there's two videos here!
Here's his second trial!

3 Month Recap
I must confess-I have been spending too much time just looking at and enjoying Gubby rather than posting on Blogger-but can you blame me?! After my parents visited, Gubby hasn't stopped cooing! He starts the day by slamming his chubby legs up and down on the crib mattress and talking to himself. He's sleeping anywhere from 8-11 hours each night (with few naps in between) and eating like a champ! He's weighing in at just over 18lbs and nurses about 5 times throughout the day and night. He's also started lifting his head when doing 'tummy time' for a few minutes each day! (Next step-rolling!) Here are some pictures to chronicle his recent changes!

Videos!
Fun, fun, fun! Enjoy!
Gabriel's Arrival
Just in case you weren't able to be at the delivery (or just want a recap!) here is some footage from shortly after Gubby's arrival. December 11, 2009, 7 pounds, 4 ounces at 4:19pm.
Gabriel Noises
Mike decided to put Gubby in front of the mirror in his nursery and had been playing for several minutes before we got to video tape it-it's hilarious.
First Bath in Tub
Gabriel is 7 weeks old in this video-we've only been giving him one bath each week because it was going so poorly. We usually used two buckets of warm water, washed him down with soap and one bucket, then rinsed with the other-needless to say, it never ended well! We decided to try the bath tub we got from Eileen this time and it was wonderful!
I thought it also fitting to let everyone know we suffered two 'injuries' this past week-scratched cradle cap. Turns out it looks a LOT worse than it actually is but it was really awful-especially for mom! Additionally, our most recent weighing (at home) puts the Gubmeister at roughly 13 pounds...that's right, 13 pounds. He is 7 weeks and two days old and is already wearing clothing for 3 month olds. Oh, what fun!
I've already returned to work and am blessed to not start with a full case load. It will really aid in a seamless transition. Additionally-we've finally gotten a hold of breastfeeding (most times) and Gubby has taken a bottle at least three times with little issue (just a bit more gas than with nursing). Things are going lovely!
