Up and Coming

So-in addition to the fact our little Baby Bean #2 is growing like a little weed, er, bean-(currently the size of a lemon at about 12 weeks)...Gabriel has made huge strides over the past several weeks. His tooth broke through right at about 8 months, he began pulling up shortly afterwards, and then crawling on all fours. This past week he's been trying his luck at eating different finger foods in addition to all our homemade and jarred goodies (he's a big fan of zucchini and plum as well as honey roasted turkey breast with sharp cheddar cheese!)

There are several videos below. The first is Gubby using a plastic cup and discovering his voice. The second is some new friends Gubby met at the lake. Next is a clip of him helping me in the kitchen. The following is his crawling on all fours (his second day at it) and then the last is his first shot at rice cakes!

Baby Bean Number Two!

Well-it seems as if God has quite the plan for the Prost Haus! Mike and I found out on Wednesday, August 11 that we're pregnant again! After our initial ultrasound on the 13, we were told we are around 7 weeks along and have an estimated due date of March 28, 2011! Gabriel will have a little brother or sister this upcoming spring and they will be about 16 months apart! We will be sure to keep everyone updated but wanted to get this posted as soon as possible-pictures to follow soon!

Yummy Mummy!

I will be the first to admit that having a child truly changes your life in ways that no one could ever tell you-I assumed posting updates on a blog once a month would be the least of my chores-who was I kidding?

Quickly approaching his 8 month birthday, Gabriel has mastered rolling both ways, scoots along like an Army soldier, and has tried several new solids (from rice and oatmeal to sweet potatoes, prunes, and peas!) We've been working around the yard as well but the weather is just so awful that we aim to not go outside unless absolutely necessary til sometime in late September! HA! Our haunted house is still slotted for the Halloween weekend so we do have to get our bums in gear!



We had a lovely visit from all of our relatives over the past few weeks. Opa and Nonna came from Germany and stayed in Tallahassee for two weekends. We got to go to Mass as a big 'ole family. Aunt Virginia also came up and stayed here at our house for a few nights-what a relief to have such a wonderful caregiver on hand! (She's done this before and man, is she good at it!) Ruthie recently passed two of her certifications last weekend for teaching with flying colors-go Rudi! The next weekend Mere and Pawpaw visited and celebrated (a bit early-but none-the-less) their 10 year (right, Ma?) anniversary-wholly cow! Gubby got to go swimming with Mere and lay out in the sunshine buck naked for a few minutes-sure was comfy!


Work is work for me-couple a clients in both Leon and Wakulla Counties and Mike is doing well at FSU. The summer semester is ending soon and the fall financial aid week will be welcomed! We want to ask all our family and friends to pray especially for one of the family's patriarchs-Thomas Prost, Sr. as he's recently moved in with the youngest Prost son and for Opa Prost, too as he'll be undergoing surgery shortly. We love and miss you all and can't wait to see everyone again soon!

6 Months and Counting!

Quite a bit has occurred since Gubby is approaching 6 months in addition to rolling over. He's also gone in the swimming pool, really got to know Bama, and met the girl of his dreams!

So-Gubby's Halloween costume will probably not fit in October so we took a short video just so he could try it on!


Mike is mowing the lawn here and Gubby is just enjoying the sunshine (with his new shades from Aunt Dona!)
